I love photographing Maternity Sessions! It gives me a chance to bond with the mom and dad before the Newborn Session, especially if the baby has older siblings. I love to see how they interact with their mom’s tummy and capture their excitement. I remember my older daughter during my own Maternity Session, she could not stop kissing my belly! She was only 2 1/2 when her little sister was born, but I felt as if she understood so much. Maternity photoshoots are so special, not only for the parents, but also for the babies and their future children. I wish my mom had photos of her belly, with me inside. But my mom was brought up differently. It’s not just because the times were different back then, but it was also due to culture reasons. They believed it was embarrassing to show off your baby bump. Even though there are a few photos of my mom while she was pregnant with me, she made sure someone was covering her belly in the photos. Isn’t that so sad? Being pregnant is such an amazing part of life, it should be celebrated!
So, here I am, helping every woman celebrate the life that she has growing inside of her! Shivani was one of those beautiful women :) She really was glowing! We went to a beautiful park near her home and we had so much fun. I was attacked by a few ducks, but it’s safe to say that I made it out alive! Shivani and her husband had a beautiful picnic right by the lake at the park. It was so sweet and romantic :) They are expecting their sweet baby boy shortly after Christmas. I will be traveling with my family to spend the rest of the year with my family and friends in Atlanta. We are going to try our best to make it all work out. Babies never come out when we expect them to, hehe. They are on their own time, and that’s totally okay.
As always, thank you for reading. Hope you enjoy these beautiful photographs. I know they will be treasured.
